Draw me nearer into your embrace;
let me trust you more each day.
Let me cling to the love
you first showed to me
as you died all alone
on Calvary's tree.
Draw me nearer, ever nearer
into your embrace.

Draw me nearer into your embrace;
let me love you more each day,
and delight in your praise,
find joy in your word,
and rest in your presence,
each promise I've heard.
Draw me nearer, ever nearer
into your embrace.

Draw me nearer into your embrace;
let me serve you more each day.
Let me be more like you,
and help those in need,
share your truth and your love
and plant faith's good seed.
Draw me nearer, ever nearer
into your embrace.

Draw me nearer into your embrace;
let me praise you more each day,
for soon with all nations
your praise I will sing,
when you gather us in,
home to you our King.
Draw me nearer, ever nearer,
into your embrace.
Inspired by the kind of 19th-Century hymns I love so much, which I realised often have something like a kind of "pattern": speaking about what God has done for us, what our response is, and ending with heaven or Jesus' return. So I decided to try it out - and try something rhyming again too for a change! ;) Also, I felt like writing something hymn-like, since I've been getting obsessed with old hymns again - and why not, they're so awesome.

Based mainly on how everything we are and do needs to come from communion with Christ, which is the first thing He calls us to do. It is from being with Jesus, and loving Him, that all the rest will come - faith before works. :) Works will be the fruit, the natural result, of being in love with Jesus.

TO be honest I never get satisfied any day when I forget staying in touch with holy spirit~
And this one reminds me to pray and sing every morning, and it's pretty much what I'm doing right now~
I need Lord's coming to make my day good
