Love (as well as everything else really...) comes from God.
It is He who can enable us to love even when it's hard - loving enemies, for instance, and loving our neighbours as ourselves.

The most important law, Jesus said, is love:
"'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'" (Matthew 22:37-39)

Before you loved God or even deserved any of His love, He loved you - so much He was willing to give everything, even His life, to save you. He loves all of us no matter who we are or what we've done. He wants to forgive each of us and let us start afresh with Him. And when you live in relationship to God, life is different and He helps you to be more loving to the people around you, and to be a different person~

Because God Himself is Love.
