What is grace?
Look at the stars:
So many mistakes
were done in my life,
so many times
I felt near the ground.
Yet so many times
He picked me up,
and so many times
His promises restored.

What is grace?
Look at the grass:
So weak am I,
so quickly bent
with each wind of change
giving way.
Yet so He became:
a withering grass,
short-lived and weak
like each one of us.

What is grace?
Look at that eagle:
so distant was God,
thus hope flew away;
so unreachable
was light for me.
Yet so now He lifts me
although I am weak,
and in all your weakness
He'll lift you too.

How I understand grace: God is so great - we are so small - we are so sinful - yet God still loves us, and forgives us, and helps us do His will which we couldn't manage on our own.

Based around Isaiah 40 in a way.
I highly recomment reading Isaiah 40-55; it is REALLY beautiful.

Grace is such a wonderful thing. Thank God for it, of course. Elegant poem.
