O Lord,
when hope fades,
and I feel locked
in dark despair -
let me bring hope to others,
and so find hope again.
O Lord,
when my faith is shaken,
and I feel crushed
by doubts and fears -
let me strengthen the faith of others,
and so find faith again.
O Lord,
when I'm hurt
and feel broken,
shattered and unloved -
let me bind the hurts of others
and so find healing again.
O Lord,
when joy fades,
and I feel numb,
seeing only black -
let me bring joy to others,
and so find joy again.
Lord, let me shed tears for others
instead of for myself,
and care so much for their cares
that I'll forget
all about mine.

Protector
It was a nice summer night. Jesus stroked Cayla's head slowly and carefully, He put His fingers through her fine red hair. She purred and patted Jesus's left hand. He smiled and said, "Love, I need to tell you something."
She sat upright in His lap.
"What is it, Jesus?" she asked eagerly.
"You need to know of My protection."
Two doves flew up a tree right across from the Olive Grove where they were sitting. One of the doves was gently cooing to the other, and the other dove responded by cooing back. Cayla watched carefully and then Jesus pointed at them.
"Do you see those two doves, love?" He asked.
"Surely..." sh

A Church
A Church
_________
Erect a Church inside your heart,
and be sure to build it well.
Lay a strong foundation,
use time as your donation,
and make love your salutation.
Make good works your devotion,
and set another in motion
to build a Church of his own.
Keep quiet in your Holy Temple
and respect it with a zealot's fervor,
always seeking to go no further
than what necessity allows.
Do not decorate it with gaudy banners
but ornament it with good manners.
Should the interior become besmirched
restore it, with humility,
to its proper worth.
The building may take a while
and our plans change--all too true.
But those who build

The One I love
O Lord, You are clothed in beauty, glory and majesty.
Your smile is the sunshine lighting up the world.
Your voice is the sound of waves on the shore.
Your laughter is the loveliest of music.
Your footsteps are heralds of peace.
Your hands are instruments of healing.
Your mind is the source of wisdom.
Your heart is the wellspring from which all love flows.
Your arms are my safe haven.
By Your side is where I long to be.
Your love is my strength.
Your presence is the only place where there is joy.
You are a blanket giving warmth and security
You are the rain giving freshness and life
You are the sun giving light and hope
You are

When I was going through a verrrrry dark valley about a year ago, my mother told me to care for others - to forget my worries by worrying about others. I think it makes a lot of sense.
Of course, one can ask: how can someone who is feeling really ricketty in faith help someone else with faith problems? I think it's still possible - God does not only use the strong, but actually often uses the weak. I stick a lot to 2 Corinthians 12:9 - "My grace is sufficient for you, for my strength is made perfect in weakness." Also, I find that living faith, even when I feel really hollow and unsure and all that, can strengthen faith! You don't get healed of all your faith troubles by lying there sick - you get healed by keeping on, and sticking to Jesus, running the race. He helps us; we just have to stick to Him.

This is very true. We tend to be so selfish, just feeding our own problems. But when someone is concerned about other people problems, this one may notice that if he/she can aid someother, because it's not too hard for him/her, this one is not as useless as he/she thought;
or that one own problems are not so hard as thought, if seen toward others problems; or even the problem that seems huge for him/herself, for someone else helping it is not that big, maybe even easy. The carring of one each other weights.
We should be a body, working efficiently. But unfortunatelly, many times we (Church/churchs) act as a possessed ill madman body, un an irresponsably. Not responding to the Head orders. Just because we keep feeding our own problems.
